As I entered my home yesterday evening, giving salam to the people in the house (Ayin and Syia), Ayin said,
Ayin : Mama, today policemen came to the house.
Me : What for?
Ayin : I don't know, you have to ask Syia. She talked to them. I wanted to go and see but I saw that they have left.
Later after the asar prayer, I got ready to walk to a place where there is a fish monger selling fish by the road side. Syia said that she wanted to follow me. So, as we walked, we talked about the incident.
Me : Ayin said policemen came to the house?
Syia : Ya ma.
Me : They entered the compund?
Syia : No, they were at the gate only.
Me : How did you know that they came?
Syia : They rang the bell. So when I saw it was a police car, I came out.
The girls were told specifically not to come out if strangers were to come and ring the bell. I think she felt that since it was the police, it was safe.
Me : What did they say?
Syia related the following conversation with the police officer
Policeman : Are you alone? Anybody else at home? (Sapa ada kat rumah)?
Syia : Me and my sister (meaning Ayin)
Policeman : How old is your sister ?
Syia : 14
Policeman : Are you N bt H daughter?
Syia : Yes
Policeman : Is your mom at home?
Syia : No, she is at work.
Policeman : Where does she work?
Syia told him the area where my office is located.
Policeman : Do you know her contact no?.
Syia said yes and gave him my mobile phone no.
Policeman : Your father, where does he work?
Syia told him where her father works. No contact no of my husband was asked.
Policeman : Do you ever you a car with plate no PC? 4 or P?? 4 ?
Syia : No, our car no is Pxx 1XXX
The policeman then said thanks and left.
The mystery to me is, why do they come to the house to ask for the plate no?
Have I done something wrong?
No policeman had called me during the day yesterday. The last time a police personnel called was to ask if the company could buy a table at their dinner.
What is the relationship of the plate no to me?
I had an experience before where I recieved summonds (5 or 6 ) for a Proton Saga with Penang plate no, but the location of the speed trap were all somewhere in Pahang. Places which I have never been before and were not anywhere near the vacinity where i would be at those particular times.
Related to hubby the story, he thought that maybe the Police were serving the summonds.
Wonder what was that all about anyway.....
Update - 26 June 2006:
I have just recieved a call from someone from the Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Prai. Apparently the summond is for a parking offence. Wrongly parked or illegally parked. The gentleman confirmed he was the one who visited my house, again I did confirmed that it was not my car and had never owned a car by that no. So maybe the owner of PCJ 4 could go and pay up the parking summond please.
Thank you for all the concern. Anyway, when you have children at home, the policy is better to be safe than sorry. I always read Ayatul-kursi before I leave the house with prayers for safety for me and my family as well as by belongings. So far Alhamdulillah.
